The Smitty’s experience starts and ends with the very friendly gent handling valet parking. With a reservation, we received the patio table near the fireplace that i requested. Our server, Hunter was friendly efficient and attentive. My wife had soup and salad while i had the pot pie. Soup and pie were served very hot and quite delicious. We finished splitting the key lime pie that was very tasty.

Service was ok but not on par with their sister restaurants. Both Prime Ribs were over cooked, Horseradish wasn't offered.

Smitty’s Grill never fails to deliver with outstanding food & service. They even surprised us with a Happy Anniversary card on the table. Our actual anniversary isn’t until next week!! They must have had the date in their database - nice touch 😊

Well, I usually love Smitty's adn have eaten there many times. Last night was defintely the exception. We were greeted but a hostess who clearly should not be inthis job. She was so unfriendly, almost nasty when I questioned the tables she was giving us. I had made a reservation of course. The table options were one small twosome in the bar or a table inthe grill room. It was so noisy inthe bar and restaurant proper that we chose the grill room in the back of the restuarant. When we got there, we were the only customers adn she poitned to a twosome against the wall that was not even cleaned yet. There were other table available and I asked if we could have one that was et adn larger. She begrudgingly gave us a 4 top. The room was ibviosly quiet - whuc was nice. It soon got osme other customers .. and was fine. The food was quite good EXCPET that my partner is allergice to crab. She ordered the chopino after she read the ingredients - no crab. When the ordered arrived we started eating and I asked her - are you sure there's no crab in there? Adn sure enough, crab legs, crab claw. She had started eating but thankfully no reaction. We sent it back adn they gave her the chicken piccata. Everyone was apologetic and the servers were really good; however this never should have happened. There was no offer of dessert or a glass of wine or even comping the chicken. That's ok; but certainly not the way I would've handled customers with that potentially liability. But the whole experience of the evening was just disappointing at one the premiere restaurants in Pasadena.

I had a wonderful surf and turf dinner in the rear dining room, which was much quieter than the main dining room, which can get a little lively! I was fortunate enough to get one of the best servers I've ever had at Smitty's (and I've been coming there since they opened), Paulina! She was pleasant, friendly, respectful, efficient and accurate! She helped make this a very enjoyable and relaxing dinner, after a very tough day! I know she's only been there for 2 months, but she's an outstanding addition to your already-excellent team!

Smitty's is consistently great food for great value. In these difficult economic times, especially with skyrocketing food costs, Smitty's still serves great value for a reasonable cost. It isn't the cheapest around however for the quality of service and food it is a reasonable cost for a well above average experience overall.

The salmon was a little salty this time (it's usually perfect!), but the service was top notch (as usual). Overall, a nice experience as expected.
