Uncle Julio's - Loudoun
Uncle Julio's is very consistent as far as the food and the atmosphere. The food is always fresh and delicious, with some of, in my opinion, the best chips and salsa ever. It is extremely hard not to fill up on chips and salsa before you have even ordered your food! However, the meals are always excellent- some of my favorites include: Honey chipotle chicken fajitas- sweet, smokey...awesome. The crispy and soft tacos are always delicious, I always like to order my chicken tacos with fajita chicken because the regular chicken is a little bland. The enchilada's with the green sauce are great.
On my most recent visit with my family, our server Sydney, was probably the best server I have encountered at any restaurant in the last 5 years- she was so professional and enthusiastic, never stopped smiling, knew the menu like the back of her hand and was on top of everything. Great job, Sydney! The only thing I say about Uncle Julio's that can be taken as less than positive is, if you want to have a conversation with someone while your'e there, it might be difficult as the restaurant is very, very, loud. It's my wife's favorite place so we go there often, but we can't hear a word we are saying to each other. I guess I'm just turning into an old geezer though.
Sometimes it gets too loud. Can’t hear each other talk
Great food, great environment and a convenient location!
Uncle Julio’s is our go to restaurant that never disappoints. It’s at a great location and the food has always been consistently great.
Waiter was great but it took forever for our food. Wasn't until we showed our bc annoyance on our face for a manager to come over. Our waiter was running around crazy but still had great service.
Love Uncle Julios! The margaritas are awesome, but SO expensive! $11.99 for a small glass. Food is delicious though. I'll probably opt for a beer next time.
It would have been nice if the music wasn't so loud. There were four of us at the table and we couldn't carry on a conversation because it was so ridiculously loud. We could only talk to one person at a time and we had to practically yell in their face...lol! Even the waitress apologized numerous times - we couldn't hear her and she couldn't hear us.
Hello Andrea, Thank you for your business. We appreciate and value your feedback to develop and enhance your experience. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you again. Thank you, Uncle Julio's
Very good food and service. We went for an early dinner and got in right away.
Reservation requested why we were dining. I said I was there for her birthday and specifically listed the person whose birthday was in the party. There was no it knowledge meant of that by the restaurant. It was a complete waste of my time. Extremely, extremely disappointed.
Hello, Thank you for spending your time with us. We regret you did not receive our best service. We appreciate your feedback to develop and enhance your time with us. We look forward to serving you again with a much better experience. Thank you, Uncle Julio's
I ordered my favorite enchilada combo-cheese and onion and chicken. The chicken was fine, but, not the cheese and onion. I got a cheese stick, a cheese stick wrapped in a tortilla.Really. Not what I was used to getting.
Excellent service, average food
Always mess up order. So very frustrating as been there many times

Had a Taco platter which was really good and a lot of food. The other entree was the steak fajitas which were also really good and plentiful. service was excellent.
We love this place and the tableside Guacamole is literally to die for!
Everything was fantastic, except the noise level.
Very loud and hard to speak to someone across the table, let alone next to you. Food is good.
Well, I really enjoy Uncle Julio’s. This was not one of my best experiences. The waiter took 10 minutes to find us. Then we were all but asked to leave for the next party to use the table. I found this rude. We were interrupted several times to clear the table. We were never asked if we wanted dessert, only the check. Had to ask for refills and other items. I understand it is a Saturday night but the shoving us out the door as soon as our food came will not make me a regular customer.
Arrived around 9pm, it was still popping & fizzing. Very loud. Luckily, folks were starting to leave as we were ordering. The server, Diego was attentive and friendly. The food, fajitas were delicious.
Service was excellent. All of the food had great flavor. Definitely going back again.
Great location and food!
Delicious food and perfect margaritas! It was loud as usual, but worth it. Never disappoints! Our waiter was great and didn't rush us despite easily 30 people waiting outside. Thanks for a fun date dinner!
Disappointing dinner. Ordered tortilla soup and combo fajitas. Both were served at the same time rendering the fajitas cold when I got to it. Curiously it was delivered without tortillas — something that went unnoticed by the server until I mentioned it and another 5 minutes to correct.
Not a good night for a usually reliable restaurant.
I was so disappointed, and will probably not return. There were four in our group. We ordered 5 meals. Only one was good enough to order again. Service was slow, it appeared there were not enough waitstaff.
We’ve been many times. The last 3, we have received our fajitas and had to ask for the wraps. By the time the wraps came our food was cold. Had to ask to speak to the Manager before kids got their food. Only good thing was manager comped entire meal. Was kind of her to do that and we appreciated it very much. I hope they get it together because we love Uncle Julio’s!
This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, service and food. Grace was fantastic, she reccomend the Carnita Azteca , and it isn't disappoint.
The food and service is excellent -- our server, Seneca, was very attentive. We went there for our son's 25th birthday, and everything went very smoothly from setting up the reservation to paying the check (electronically at the table - very cool!). Thanks!
One seat at our table and the table area at that seat was wet. The person at that seat sat in that wet area. It was reported to the waitress who responded with a towel and wiped down the seat and table. We were disappointed that there was no follow-up by a restaurant manager.
Our drinks came really late! Maybe 40 minutes ????? Ordered regular margaritas nothing fancy then had only 1 bowl of chips with salsa at the table for 5 people no plates. Untrained brand new server who didn’t know many things including how to serve correctly! Our food came in but no tortillas included for fajitas????
For everything we had to ask the server and worst that all i asked for my friend birthday to get an ice cream with candle they have told me no candles and brought two scoop of regular ice cream with nothing not even a happy Birthday sign or writing or singing!!
I reserved for special occasion birthday online a week prior
Very disappointed at this place and people working there :(

Even with a reservation, we waited 20 minutes for a table. The drinks are over priced, the fajitas were not “Sizzling” on the pan, the chocolate piñata looks impressive but it’s over priced as well. And it’s way too loud to have a conversation.
My family and I enjoy coming to Uncle Julio's however, our last experience on Fathers Day was less than remarkable. Upon ordering our meals the server comes back to notify us that they have ran out of Carne Asada which is my husband and my favorite. Honestly, if we would have known that before ordering our meals we would have chosen to leave and go somewhere else. But, due to the fact that we ordered drinks and appetizers we could not do so. Then once our food arrived things were good. My kids decided to for us to surprise my husband with a chocolate piñata. When the piñata came it read "Happy Birthday Fathers Day". The server found it amusing but, I did not. This was meant to be a special occasion. The server stated that the piñata was already made and written with Happy Birthday and that it would have taken a lot longer to assemble and correct the writing. He only stated this once it was on our table in front of us. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to decide whether to bring it out that way. As stated before, we love Uncle Julio's but Father's Day, the experience could have been better.

Ive been a few times to this location and have enjoyed my meal and ambience. I don't know if the a/c was out but it was way too hot in the restaurant and the service seemed slow. Our server was good but food took much longer than in the past. I don't know that I would have noticed it as much if it hadn't been for the high temps in the restaurant.
Excellent service and very attentive staff! Vibrant and good for groups!
The food was amazing as always. The service good. The table side guacamole was the best ever!!!!!!
The reception was poor. WAited at podium for ten minutes before they acknowledged us and we had a reservation. I was there with my 86 year old father. Once acknowledged it was lukewarm. Three staff were at podium. One couple in front of us when we arrived.
We love the food. Some days faijtas are better than other. On our last visit our table was ready as per our reservation. Our server "Madi" gave us fantastic service. She was a wonderful server. She should be groomed and recognized.
Came here for Father’s Day and had made a reservation in advance. Waited 15 minutes after being seated for someone to bring us the high chairs we requested. Our server was either brand new, or completely stoned, not sure which. Service was TERRIBLE. Kids started getting restless in their high chairs after 40 minutes without food. The people at the table next to us came after us, ate and paid all before we got our food. Then, my daughter came thisclose to putting a wad of hair that she found on the floor next to our table in her mouth. 🤢. Fortunately, I saw her in time and grabbed it with a napkin before she could get it to her mouth. Even though the manager was awesome and was extremely apologetic, we’ll never go back. Not a good day for Uncle Julio’s!
Hello Steph, Thank you for your business. We deeply apologize for the reception and service you received. We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention, so we can investigate. This is certainly not our standard. We hope to get the opportunity to serve you again with a great experience you expect from us from start to finish. Thank you, Uncle Julio's
Tableside guacamole was just brought to us- not explained that they don’t offer it outside. Meat was very underdone. Waitress went missing. 2nd round of drinks arrived when we were almost through with eating, even though they were ordered when the food arrived. Ran out of tortillas and the waitress never asked if more were needed. They should automatically bring 2 sets! Manager came by and apologized for the rate meat. That’s the only positive. We try and try with this location and they just keep struggling. Manager seemed sincere with the apology.
Ate outdoors on a beautiful evening. It was busy but everything turned out wonderful. Food was excellent!
It was crazy loud. Asked them to turn the music down. They did, kind of. Not a good place if you want to have a conversation.
This was our 2nd visit within the past month. I was extremely disappointed.
We had reservations for 7pm through OpenTable. Upon checking in, we were told it would be about 15-20 minutes and handed a buzzer. After 20 minutes, I checked with the hostess who informed me that my OpenTable reservation was still open, and that I had not checked in; yet I had a buzzer. We were seated shortly after.
Our waiter took our drink order. It took 40 minutes to get our drinks; and our waiter took our food order. Our drink order was incorrect; however, due to the wait we decided to drink the regular margaritas and try to make the best of it.
In about 20 minutes, a food runner brought a tray. The first dish was fish tacos which one of our guests had ordered. It was placed in front of our guest. The next plate was salmon. At that point, I informed the runner that this may be the wrong order. It was determined it was. So the food runner picked up both plates from our table, returned it to the tray, and set the tray to the side. The food runner then went to locate the waiter. Once she found the runner, she picked up the tray, and started to pass out the plates (which had previously been on our table) to the occupants at the next table over. I thought was not within health code. (I later mentioned this to the manager).
We finally received our correct order another 20 minutes later. Upon receipt, I could tell that the food was cold. Our fajitas were not even hot, and I could place my hand on the plate. Typically, the fajitas are brought out on a sizzling hot plate--however, that was not the case. The other plates were also cold; the meat on the other plates were so cold that it was no longer warm.
We summoned for our waiter, and he was apologetic. He said that he would send the manager to correct the issues. When we spoke to the manager, she was apologetic and tried to explain that they were experiencing an unusually high number of guests on a Tuesday evening.
