   Service was great. Steak was served with a sweet sauce. Waiter took back and brought without sauce. Excellent. No need for all that when you have great ingredients.

   There was a crying, disruptive toddler at the next table. That's to be expected, but people should know it is a "family atmosphere" and be prepared for it. Our waitress was very busy and fairly inattentive. She kept saying she would be "right back" and then we waited. Finally, she asked if we would like a dessert menu, and we said Yes. Okay, she said, she would come right back. She did come back, with the check and no dessert menu. She walked away before we could say where's the dessert menu? We did finally get the menu and then waited awhile to order. We were in no hurry but it was, honestly, poor service. On the other hand, the food was excellent. I didn't think I would like collard greens and kale, but it, too was really good.

    We enjoyed three meals at the Village Social during our stay. The service and staff were great. Our only complaint would be on the night of February 25th a large group was seated behind us. They were extremely loud and disruptive. It was so loud we took our dessert back to our room. What good have been a wonderful meal turned out less than what we expected for $130.00 for two adults. Thank you

    We got mostly appetizers and they were all great. The server was attentive and professional. We had eaten at other restaurants at Biltmore and never disappointed. Looking forward to another visit soon!

    Took my daughter to Biltmore for her first visit and added dinner to the calendar in those two full days. I only wish the stores in Antler Hill stayed open as late as the restaurants so we could shop while we waited for our 8:15 reservation .

    2nd visit not as food as the first. Wasn't terrible. My shrimp and grits were to die for. Would have ordered more drinks if waiter asked. So it was both great and not so great. Would still recommend.

    Dined here for the first time for my friend's birthday. Enjoyed the atmosphere and food. My seating was uncomfortable because it was a bar top height and I'm short. Overall great experience and would definitely eat here again.

    Hands down the best Pot Roast. When asked about the soup of the day, the waitress had trouble telling me what was in it. She listed “cream and some kind of fish” so I wish she knew more about the menu.

    We ate there three meals while staying in the hotel. Our server, Jenna, took excellent care of us on all three occasions. She was very nice efficient and cheerful even though she was doing double weekend shifts. Liquor drinks were good but expensive. The food was pretty good, lunch was the best.

    We absolutely loved our visit to Village Social! We got the fried green tomatoes and pickles and cheese plate for appetizers. Both were delicious! We had the rib-eye and vegan bowl for our meal and it was very good! We finished with a brownie a la mode which was heavenly! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was phenomenal.

    Did not seem to be enough servers. Our drink order arrived at the same time as our food. Service was very slow. My husband ordered the Roast dinner. Perhaps it was the gravy but it had a terrible taste. I ordered the Vegan Bowl. The vegetables were fine and tasted fine. For the taste and service it is over priced.

    The salmon was done to perfection. The portion sizes were spot on, not too much but not skimpy. The server was engaging and knowledgeable. This was just a dinner out with a friend so no special occasion but a nice meal.

    Service was good for breakfast and dinner. We had dinner our first night there and the food was pretty bad across the board. Breakfast was included in the package we got so we hesitantly went back since we already paid for it. We were pleasantly surprised and had a great meal.

    Horrible. We expected an over priced meal. However, no bread served with meals. The 14.00 spinach salad was half a bowl of salad with half hard boiled egg. Fried green tomatoes were burnt on the outside, with hard tomatoes in the center. Bowl of chili was warmed diced tomatoes with a couples cans of beans tossed in tomato paste. Judging from the taste, a sprinkling of chili seasoning was added to the horrible mix. We were happy at the last minute, we upgraded to stay at the Biltmore Inn, where we enjoyed a top notch breakfast the following day. Ambience was a screaming child, ignored by the dining parents. Service was slow, we had to practically scream across the dining area to get the attention of the cluster of servers involved in social conversation. Worse experience we have had at any dining establishment in years. The beer was cold, and the server gave us a 10% discount when we vented our concerns Worth it to spend the money, and go up the hill to the impeccable service at the Inn

    We were in Asheville for a girl's trip and Biltmore has never disappointed with their food! We had appetizers, not pictured is the fried green tomatoes appetizer! We enjoyed everything!

    We had the vegan dish with quinoa, carrots, rutabaga and brussel sprouts. The quinoa was cooked to perfection. However the carrots and rutabaga were undercooked. Very undercooked that you couldn't even taste that it was rutabaga. The carrots were just shy of raw. Very disappointing as I got my guest to order it as well and she didn't like it at all. The only veggie cooked to perfection was the brussel sprouts. We told the waitress to mention this to the chef and she said that she had it for her employee dinner and that's the way it was cooked. Well, that doesn't make it right. We were so disappointed that we cancelled our reservation for the next night and went next door to the Bistro for a delicious dinner.

    Our first time here, the food was good and we had great service. Did not realize that this restaurant is housed in the Village Hotel. The food surpassed most hotel dining experiences. The ambiance is lacking and bland, and more could have been done in the interiors to reduce noise. It is a great place to take families, we saw m ah there enjoying a nice meal.

    This is a good place to eat if you just want to eat. Too loud for nice conversation. Children yelling and running in the restaurant. During off-season it is much nicer. I’ve ordered the same dish three times and received three different versions. Poor consistency. Drinks are so so. Just stick to wine. Service is good but they are sorely understaffed as is every Asheville restaurant.

    The dinners were great. Unfortunately, we were seated at the table right next to the front door and the hostess stand. To make that more comfortable I would suggest they put a screen of some kind there. The cold wind plus the people who are waiting to check in plus those waiting for their table all detracted from the ambience. The apple cranberry crumble was not good at all. The service was very quick and very pleasant.
