Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. We got to the venue, they didn’t have our booking on the system for 8pm we had to hang around nearly an hour before getting a table when we got sat down and ordered our food, there were a group sat behind us that left and didn’t pay as they were waiting so long for there food, we ended up eating at 10:30pm the lady serving us was great we could see the whole place was in a bit of a mess but the lady serving us really did make it a better, the food was good but as I said had to wait a really good, shame they overbooked and couldn’t handle what bookings they had. If it wasn’t for the lady we would’ve left.

In all fairness it was just ‘ok’. Even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy my finished plate and my daughters plate were cleared away even though my husband and son were still eating and dessert menus forced on us when they were still eating their main meal.....I’ve no idea what the rush was all about! The pizza was good but the pasta was unfortunately mediocre which is a shame because we have eaten here loads of times and the first time I’ve felt disappointed.

As i entered, my eyes were squinting due to the extremely bright light and it was very noisy. The waiter made up for it. He was very helpful. Luckily there was an Italian cookbook by the side that provided as a quiz book for us. The food was good so it seems like we had entered the restaurant at a wrong time.

Booked table and when arrived at zizzi booking had not been confirmed and the place was full so we weren't able to have dinner. Had dinner there before and place is really good but was disappointed that booking wasn't confirmed and I wasn't informed as wasted my time

We have eaten lunch and dinners on this restaurant many times for the last 4 years but last Sunday the service was not good enough, slow and very unprofessional. We were able to see 2/3 waiters chatting on the tils and only one person servicing the tables, by the time we were in only one person was in the kitchen doing all. I am not sure if this place has change management but unfortunately we won't be choosing this restaurant for a while or maybe we won't come back. Regards, Juan.

The pizza bases are the best I have tasted; thin and light. We had a sharing platter to start which was sublime and the gelato to finish, perfect. Will be eating at Zizzi's again !
