brunch @cafedelapressesf 🍳 a cute french cafe right next to chinatown/union square. can’t speak to the authenticity of the food but it was tasty! somewhat limited menu — almost all of the brunch items are egg centered. • latte ($5.4) - 5/6 it was BIG • smoked salmon eggs benedict ($23) & side of sausages ($6) • croque monsieur ($16) - 4/6 • crab cake eggs benedict ($26)

Cafe de la Presse is one of our favorite "go to" restaurants in the City. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is so pleasant. We enjoy it thoroughly.

I should really come to Cafe de la Presse more often. It’s a little piece of Paris in the good part of Downtown San Francisco, service is fantastic, food is fabulous, and the ambience is wonderful. I come here when I crave for Coq au vin, but I gotta try other dishes.

We sat outside & had the Croque monsieur & the Croque madame. Both were delicious. The coffee was good & the heaters kept us toasty. These are definitely the best Croques in the Bay Area.

The place is really out of a Paris cafe, the service was great. Now the food sorry to say left wanting, probably could have gotten the same type of food at any breakfast diner. Even the bread basket seemed like they got them at Costco or any other bakery. Sorry to say but would not return, was expecting more a French menu like a croque madam or a real French omelette light and thin but instead got a regular omelette. This place has a lot of potential.

We’ve been coming here for years - like monthly for years. We love the location, ambiance, and find the service to always be pleasant and attentive. The food however, for the price point, feels a bit sad and uninspired lately. Plate presentation is lacking and the food arrives looking a bit sad - definitely no efforts to impress. It just doesn’t seem to be as good as it used to be. My friend ordered the quiche and, I recall it used to be a slice, like from a pie. This week it was a round, sad, dry little disc of a quiche. We expressed disappointment, returning half of it after not being able to finish it. We didn’t complain too much but the staff didn’t seem interested in any corrections and they did not offer. We are rethinking the almost $100 we spend here each month and are questioning the value for the price point.

Great service and food. We had a wonderful seat near the window. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and food. Would return here and highly recommend.
