The tables were crammed in the center of the restaurant. You are essentially dining with strangers. If someone was sick, they pass it to others. Regardless everyone knows every conversation. Anyway the server was very nice, the food was traditional and basic varied differences.

What an absolute delight this place was. It has that old world San Francisco charm. Good was phenomenal and the service excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was great and the service and ambience were fine. The only problem is that they only have a license to sell beer and wine (though the wine list is very good). So, we could not order cocktails which was a huge disappointment. Therefore, we will probably never go to Cesario’s again!!!

I was looking for a great restaurant near the American Conservatory Theatre to celebrate my Mother-In-Law's 95th birthday. The ambiance was cozy, like you stepped into your Italian family's home. The food was delicious, with generous portions of pasta, homemade sauces, and gooey cheese. Our server was attentive and helped me time the birthday dessert with the candle, so we still had time to go to our show at the ACT. It was perfect! We highly recommend Cesario's!

Disappointing Return Visit
What was once a memorable dining experience turned into one of the most frustrating restaurant visits I've had in years. The problems started before we were even seated. Despite arriving 10 minutes early for our 7:00 p.m. reservation, we were told to leave and come back at our reservation time. When we returned at 7:05, the same host informed us that because we were now five minutes late, we would have to wait another 30 minutes. Only after pointing out that we had been turned away earlier were we seated about 10 minutes later.
The salad was excellent and provided a brief glimpse of the quality we remembered. Unfortunately, the entrées were a major disappointment. My Chicken Milanese arrived missing several key ingredients listed on the menu, including the arugula, cherry tomatoes, and lemon. What I received was little more than breaded chicken on pasta with a minimal amount of sauce. When I raised the issue, the server's solution was simply to bring a small bowl of marinara sauce rather than address the incomplete dish.
Even more disappointing was the complete lack of service recovery. No one checked on our meal, asked if everything was satisfactory, or questioned why most of my entrée remained untouched. Staff simply cleared the table and presented a dessert menu as if nothing was wrong.
Restaurants can have off nights, but great establishments recognize problems and make an effort to correct them. This restaurant did neither. The contrast between our first visit and this one was striking, and after such poor hospitality, inattentive service, and an underwhelming meal, it's difficult to imagine returning again. A very disappointing experience that failed to live up to its reputation.
