The staff were exceptional, very welcoming and helpful. The surroundings are very attractive, the room looks quite formal but is very comfortable and the ambience is relaxed. The afternoon tea selection was varied, with adjustments made for allergies or dietary requirements, I thought that they handled this really well, so everyone felt that they were included. The sandwiches were delicious, a nice variety and the bread felt fresh and springy. The pea quiche was a little disappointing as it lacked flavour, although it did look very pretty. The sausage roll was very tasty with good flavour, but could have been a little larger, or maybe two of the bite-sized ones? The scones were very tasty, slightly sweet with a sugary glaze on them. The strawberry jam was smooth with no fruit pieces which was a shame, and the cream was whipped cream rather than clotted cream but overall they were very enjoyable. The cake selection was beautiful, very colourful and summery. We took some of them home as there was just too much to eat! Overall I think Whittlebury provide a good value afternoon tea, with thoughtful menu choices and lovely surroundings.

Absolutely stunning. Faultless service, we were really looked after. We had the 3 course summer set menu, every mouthful was delicious. 11/10!

We had a lovely hostess who checked on us a few times, asking if we were ok and needed anything topped up. The food was fantastic, a great mix of sweet and savoury. We loved the decor. All in all, a great afternoon tea which we would thoroughly recommend.

Very nice food. The fish stew was a bit salty but still good. The steak was perfect from the daily special. The bead with black garlic was amazing!
