After much research throughout the States, Smokin Bones had its first outing in Herbert Park in 2014. Barbecue has grown to be a way of life for the Smokin Bones team and is much more than smoky meats and juicy flavours. Barbecue is about friends gathering together and sharing good food in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. That’s what we aim to achieve in our locations, from the head chef to your server on the floor. Thanks for your custom and we hope you enjoy your visit.
Smokin Bones is 100% Irish owned and apart from visiting any of our locations you can now enjoy our great smoked flavours at home. Order online for home delivery or visit our online shop and order our unique ‘BBQ in a Box’. Barbecue at home could not be easier.
Tucked just off Temple Bar, achara is an restaurant inspired by the food and culture of Thailand centred around our custom made Santa Maria charcoal grill. Chef/owner Graeme Reynolds takes influence for his dishes from lengthy travels around thailand, especially in the northern city of Chiang Mai. We strive on using local produce where we can working with small organic farmers like Abercorn in Co. Wicklow and McNally's in north Co. Dublin. Likewise all our meat and fish is from trusted small butchers and fishmongers like McLoughlins butchers and Glenmar seafood who we have worked with for years. We have an extensive wine list of low intervention and natural european wines on offer.Since opening achara was named irish times restaurant of the year 2024 and has been nominated for a variety of awards from best casual dining to best new restaurant at the irish food and wine and Irish Restaurant awards

In the 12th century, nomadic tribes of Mongol hordes invaded and conquered most of Northern Asia and Eastern Europe under Genghis Khan. Stopping each night to make camp, they would place their upturned shields over their camp fires and cook their meat with wooden sticks….And so the concept of The Mongolian Barbeque was born!!Ok, that’s the history lesson over. One question people ask us a lot is ‘Do I need to be able to cook to eat here?’ And the answer is no! All you do is grab a bowl and choose your ingredients from our selection of meat, seafood, vegetables, tofu and noodles. You pick what you like! Then season with spices, herbs and sauces. It’s a fun and unique way to eat and is also very healthy as we try to use as little oil as possible when stir frying. We have allergy information for our spices and sauces, so if you have an allergy, or if you are vegetarian, just let your server know, and we can cook your food separately in a wok, instead of on the grill.
