Named one of the Best Steakhouses in the World by World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants 2025, Sagardi brings the cooking and traditions of the Basque Country to Shoreditch. Part of Sagardi Group, a restaurant group dedicated to Basque gastronomy since 1996 and founded by Chef Iñaki López de Viñaspre, our restaurant is rooted in simple cooking with exceptional ingredients. Our menu centres around meat and fish cooked over hot coals, alongside traditional Basque dishes such as marmitako, txistorra, Idiazabal cheese, txipirones and the classic salted cod omelette. At the heart of the menu is our txuleton, naturally reared mature beef from old cows, and cooked over our traditional Basque grill. Our drinks offering brings together an extensive selection of over 200 wines, alongside champagne, cocktails, traditional vermouth and Basque cider. We also serve txakoli, the distinctive white wine of the Basque Country, and our famous perron glasses for a characteristically Basque way to enjoy it.
