We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. We have pursued that goal ever since and it has earned us many loyal customers. Our menu is probably classed as British with some additional favourites from Italy and around the globe. Albert's Worsley provides a slick, modern space with dining for 180 guests inside and features a fabulous outside dining terrace for 60.The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday are also open for breakfast.
Our first home outside London, Grind Manchester brings our signature blend of all-day dining, cocktails, and coffee to the heart of the city — with a distinctly elevated twist.Set within the landmark St Michael’s development, just moments from Deansgate, this new opening features a vibrant restaurant, cocktail bar, and espresso bar all under one roof. Whether you're joining us for a laid-back brunch, after-work drinks, or a late-night date, expect bold design, big energy!
Lock 84 sits in The Reach at Piccadilly, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott, ninety seconds from Piccadilly station and looking over the Rochdale canal it's named after.Breakfast through to dinner, with brunch and afternoon tea in between. Executive Chef Chris Hall keeps it local and specific: our signature Manchester scotch egg, made with Bury black pudding; ice cream handmade in Saddleworth; Worker Bee coffee roasted in Stockport. Vimto was invented on Granby Row in 1908, ten minutes' walk from here. The bar pours our own Lock 84 IPA, brewed for us four and a half miles up the road by Manchester's Seven Bro7hers, alongside Manchester Union lager from a brewhouse in Ardwick. It builds ten cocktails of its own, most named for the city that produced them. Every still wine is poured by the glass, not just the house ones, right up to the £89 bottles.Sunday is given over to the roast, every trimming included. Saturdays are bottomless from 12.30. Afternoon tea from £29.50.
Chef Mary-Ellen McTague brings a curious, creative spirit to every dish, finding new ways to delight diners with unexpected flavours and thoughtful, sustainable cooking. Her inventive use of local and unconventional ingredients makes every plate a fresh taste of Manchester's ever-evolving food scene.
