They would drive animals down post roads to the New York City markets, and sell them “for as good a price as they could get.” Today Old Drovers Inn offers a unique casual dining experience including pub night every Wednesday. Be sure to have a specialty cocktail featured on our cocktail menus.     On our 5 day stay across the river in Hudson, this was probably our best dinner. The fish and chips was a large, fresh piece of cod and my prime rib sliders were great. Beet salads were excellent. Chef here has it together. Staff were super friendly and Helen, our server, was first class. We will look at staying here on our next visit. This place is not far from Catskill and the Thomas Cole site off the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. American history and great food!
