What an amazing evening - we started at the bar and tried a few of the cocktails from the summer menu (the Dreamsicle Margarita was especially good), where the bar staff were so friendly and helpful. We were seated immediately at our reservation time and our server was fantastic. She shared the specials, we asked a few questions that she answered with lots of info, and we ordered a variety of apps and an entree. I can't recommend the focaccia bread enough. We ordered it with the whipped ricotta and it was absolutely amazing. We also tried the arancini (light breading, flavorful, delicious dipping sauce), the sweet corn fontina polenta (great cheese pull and so yummy), the burrata and heirloom tomatoes (which includes lightly toasted focaccia croutons - yummy!), and for an entree, the Ricotta Cavatelli - light, fluffy little gnocchi with shrimp and crab in a light and flavorful lemony sauce. Seriously, this is one of the best meals me and MDP have had in awhile. It makes me sad that we live 2 hours away but it's worth fighting NoVa traffic to visit again soon!

Best restaurant in RTC. Great food and the service is the best in the area. Sanjay and the team run a tight ship. My fav place in RTC.

My husband and I had a great dinner on Tuesday "Pasta Tuesday" with a great menu and many choices with a glass of wine. Our waitress Laura was wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was excellent: We will be back!

If you want truly authentic, perfectly prepared Italian food and you don't want to lay out $40 for a pile of pasta, Stellina is your best choice. In addition to the usual (and delicious) arancini, there are several intriguing appetizers on the menu (also make sure you order the pizza bread topped with a dusting of parmesan). Stellina's pizzas feature a traditional fluffy crust with a number of classic toppings like Nduja jam, stracciatella, spicy salami and densely-flavored anchovies (OK don't order them if you don't love them). And the pastas are as good as anything you'll find at the expense-account establishments. One more recommendation: the bistecca is ridiculously delicious and large enough to share along with a pizza or pasta. One of the best items on the menu. To drink, there's a great assortment of wines by the glass to explore; I tried a glass of white wine from the tiny island of Ischia and it was fantastic. The selection is as good as--if not better than--many more expensive Italian spots. All the usual Italian cocktails are there, along with some fun variations that are worth trying.
