It was our first time at DACHA and we were there to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back! We dined in the Forest Room, which is semi-private and cozy. We started with cocktails and house made piroshki. We chose the mushroom and the egg/onion fillings, I couldn't stop smiling as I ate them. For our entrées, we chose the DACHA Goulash and the Sutter Stroganoff. They were both tasty, we were happy with our choices. My husband enjoys beef tongue and chicken hearts, and he was so happy that the stroganoff had both of what he loves! As a sweet tooth, one of my favorite moments was when we had dessert. We shared the Honey Cake--I don't have words to describe how delicious it was. The cake was moist, rich, with the right amount of sweetness. It was topped with chocolate in the shape of a honeycomb. They brought it with a birthday candle, which was a very sweet gesture. I am so happy we decided to go to DACHA for my birthday, my only regret is that my stomach wasn't large enough to try more dishes. But that's ok because we will be back! Thank you to Suki and the wonderful team at DACHA.

Food here is reliably fascinating. Refreshing depth of flavors and presentation, with kind, attentive, knowledgeable service.

Red Tavern is an excellent Russian restaurant! The food, especially the beef stroganoff, cucumber salad and pelmeni were delicious! The wait staff was attentive and we loved the atmosphere - great ambience with lovely china and paintings on the walls that gave it an elegant touch.

Outstanding find down Belden. Ukranian emigrants in a very no-frills cafe, making some simply outstanding dumplings, at a price level that was a stunning bargain for downtown SF. Killer selection of Ukranian beers, and an outdoor patio. This place made for a hell of Spring afternoon.
