Established in 1999, Fish! was the first restaurant of its kind in London. Our concept is simple: providing our customers with the best quality fish, cooked in front of you, in simple and classic ways. Since 1999 our focus has never changed, quality and responsible sourcing is still our main concern. Our central location in Borough Market means that London’s best produce is right on our doorstep. We are proud to say that we source most of our produce from Borough Market itself, and our fish is delivered daily from our very own fishmonger, Jarvis, which is renowned for its extensive range of the freshest fish and seafood.
Applebee's is a family-run fish restaurant that has been an institution of Borough Market for over 25 years, a few steps from London Bridge station and Southwark Cathedral. We were a fishmonger here first, and we still buy like one: straight from the fishermen on the south coast, one of very few London restaurants that do, so fish landed at Brixham in the evening is on your plate the next day.The menu runs from Maldon rock oysters and hand dived scallops to dry-aged Dover sole and fish and chips, with a catch of the day that changes with whatever the boats bring in. The wine list leads with English producers alongside French classics. Our kitchen, currently led by Chef Tom Cenci, plays on British nostalgia and comfort, with dishes such as prawn toast and lobster cocktail, then carrot cake or Eton mess for pudding. Our space is buzzy, with an open kitchen at its centre and seats at the chef's counter to watch the show.Walk-ins are always welcome.
