Elizabeth is an intimate French restaurant and wine bar tucked into Portland's historic Wharf Street. A cherry-red lacquered ceiling, burgundy and zinc bar, and warm candlelight evoke the romance of a Parisian cave à vin, creating an atmosphere that is glamorous, inviting, and quietly decadent. The seasonal menu celebrates Maine's finest ingredients through a distinctly French lens, with dishes such as Oeuf Mayo with smoked salmon caviar, Halibut en Béarnaise with white asparagus and Jonah crab, and Elizabeth's signature Chocolate Soufflé with house-spun hazelnut ice cream. The beverage program features inventive French-inspired cocktails, thoughtfully selected wines by the glass and bottle, and a curated selection of beer, cider, and nonalcoholic offerings. The culinary and beverage teams bring experience from acclaimed restaurants in Chicago and New York.Dollar oyster happy hour + $10 bubbles, Tues-Sat, 4p-5p.Parties of 7+ please email alex@elizabethwharfstreet.com.
