Populairste gastropubs in Wells-next-the-Sea

This pub has changed hands several times with varying degrees of success. The current team are on top form, pleasant welcome, good service (we warned there was a wait when ordering pie) and delious food. Portion size spot on. Good range of beers and a decent wine list. Strongly recommended.

Although we live close to The Barsham Arms we had not visited for a very long time but as there are new owners we thought we would give it a try for Sunday lunch. We arrived slightly before they opened but the staff were happy for us to go in and sit at our table with a drink, this was very welcome as it was blowing a gale outside! The staff were all so friendly, polite and professional, our food arrived and was delicious, beautiful desserts and relaxing interior. Dogs are welcome and those that had arrived during our visit were well behaved and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in there that I’m sure we will encourage us to revisit again very soon! Nothing at all to find complaints with, well done everyone 👏👏👏

Fabulous Sunday toast at 5pm - food was delightful we had 2 beef, one chicken and one pork belly roast and we were all delighted - clean plates all round and lovely service and setting
