Chef Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry. His culinary journey has taken him across South Africa, Germany, and the United States.Paul began his career as a restaurant manager and steadily rose through the ranks to become a franchise owner and later Director of Operations. In 1994, he launched Paul’s Pizza Shops, a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas.In 2009, Paul introduced a bold new idea—Peli Peli, a South African fusion restaurant that quickly gained national acclaim. As Executive Chef & Owner he helped shape Peli Peli into a beloved destination for adventurous diners. After retiring from Peli Peli in 2018, Paul returned to his original location at Vintage Park to unveil his latest and most personal creation: The Chef’s Table.“This is by far my best creation yet,” says Chef Friedman. “I hope to leave a legacy here that my children and grandchildren will be proud of.”
