Welcome to Kazbar, a lively Mediterranean tapas and cocktail bar on Oxford’s Cowley Road, just a short walk from the city centre. A rural public house serving local beers, Berkshire gin and ciders, as well as a great wine selection. Bar snacks and full meals available 7 days a week. Cooking over a central grill makes for great theatrical cooking from our open-plan kitchen, overseen by Head Chef Nick Galer. Whilst a subtle Basque feel will permeate throughout, its roots are firmly founded on those of a classic English pub – so while featuring top end Basque dishes fit for a destination dinner, it also offers simple pub snacks for a light lunch… while the food may be inspired by the Basque country, the ingredients are local… and while the wines may be sourced from Iberia, the beer is very much English.The crowning glory is the sensational open kitchen, with a huge, CHARCOAL FIRED parilla grill and a BRICK OVEN as its centrepiece and all in front of the guests – very visual and very theatrical.     The food was excellent and the fact that it's small bites/tapas means you can taste a number of different dishes. The restaurant was packed. Wines and beers also good. Will certainly revisit when in the area.

    Lovely time here for my partners bday, very attentive staff who made the experience welcoming for our first visit. We enjoyed the beef croquettes and hummus the most and would definitely come back! Unknowing to us it was also wine Wednesday which was a nice bonus (25% off). 😊

    Fantastic quality meal amongst a good menu so very happy !! Good to see The Pot Kiln back to being a real proper country gastropub again without a "themed menu" that just didn't sit right .... Brilliant ! Go there !!

    We went as a family to celebrate a birthday The food was excellent and everybody including the fussier eaters could find something they liked on the menu The staff bought the food as it was made and it was all well presented and nicely portioned. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and knew the menu well and were knowledgable and helpful excellent experience
