Our bread's recipe and technique have been passed down from the founder's great-great-grandfather, who owned an array of bakeries and managed many restaurants in Kabul. The Black Cat Café is owned and run by PALS, a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Although every dime we make goes directly to the 600 homeless animals we save every year, we also know that our café succeeds because it is an awesome place to eat.
