Hostaria il DescoSince 1954, at Via delle Terme 23 red , a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio, there has been a refreshment place dedicated to the preparation of Tuscan recipes, Hostaria il Desco .Via delle Terme is located a stone's throw from all the city's most important monuments, while its name recalls the ancient Roman baths that were located here and received their waters from a sophisticated water system that began on Mount Morello.Hostaria il Desco is a place that blends both a restaurant and a classic trattoria, a historic meeting place where you can enjoy fine wine and excellent house dishes. In ancient times, the word desco referred to the table where one ate; today, for us, it symbolizes the encounter between guests and good food.

The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel’s Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. It offers a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks, from the Valentino, our take on the classic Negroni, to the latest cocktails and preparations on the list. In the evenings, live piano music creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere that extends outdoors onto the terrace during the balmy summer months.
