A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. We accept bookings for tables of up to six people in the dining room.It can be loud and slightly chaotic; at night it is dark. The Pig and Butcher occupies a handsome pub built in the mid 1800’s when Islington was a village outside London. The area around the pub used to be fields used by farmers to rest and feed their livestock before being sent to Smithfield’s Meat Market for sale. We take our inspiration from farmhouse tables across Europe. We use the best farms and suppliers in the country and present a weekly changing menu that reflects the most seasonal produce the country has to offer. We have an in house team that hand pick and deliver our fruit and vegetables each morning from New Spitalfields Market. We butcher all of our meat on site daily in our specially built butchers room downstairs. Our team have worked hard on curating a wine list that changes regularly. Our wine selection features some of the best wines from family-owned vineyards and larger winemakers from across the world that we have used since the mid nineties. We also offer a selection of beers.
