The Charles Dickens Pub, named after Broadstairs' most famous resident, is a landmark venue with a rich history. After a complete refurbishment, it reopened in the summer of 2012 and has since become one of the largest pubs in the area. Featuring a spacious main bar downstairs and a scenic, open plan restaurant upstairs, the restaurant offers breathtaking views over Viking Bay. Guests can enjoy a relaxed and welcoming experience, making it the perfect spot to soak in the charm of Broadstairs whilst savoring the best views in town.

The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views. Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.

After closing for 2 weeks for an interior refurb the pub now has a fresh and clean new look. The creation of a proper snug is part of the change and is available for private hire for small gatherings or family occasions. The rear barn has also undergone refurbishment and is now a wonderful room dating back to the 15th Century with oak beams and flagstone floor folding doors open out on to the rear courtyard and river Stour beyond. The barn forms part of the restaurant but can also be made available for small functions and parties of up to 20 - 25 people.
