Bar Tables can't be reserved during busy periods or at weekends. On Sundays we exclusively serve our 4 Course Sunday Roast Menu.
The Tartar Frigate is one of the only 18th century flint restaurants in Kent. Widely renowned as one of the best seafood restaurants in Kent, the harbor restaurant boasts stunning panoramic views over Viking Bay.

After a complete refurbishment, it reopened in the summer of 2012 and has since become one of the largest pubs in the area. Had scallops to start which were a bit overcooked but then had sea bass which was delicious. Others had battered fish and said was amazing. House Malbec was also very good and very reasonably priced. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The staff were fantastic. So friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was my birthday the day before and they must have seen this in the app, I was presented with a birthday ice cream and they sang Happy Birthday to me.
