Beste restaurants voor comfort food in Lechlade

I booked a table at the Old Auctioneer for a friends birthday, We were sat instantly and given great service throughout the night. Food came out promptly and tasted brilliant! Despite not asking for anything, dessert came out with a candle for my friend. I think that was lovely considering we didnt say anything. Overall, it was a lovely evening.

Matt the head chef and owner was extremely friendly and obviously passionate about the food that was served: the food was delicious and of very high quality. We had tempura king prawns to start, with osso buco and risotto Milanese and sirloin steak for mains. I had the sticky toffee pudding which was excellent and was probably enough to share, but didn’t. My wife even had a mini-tour of the kitchen before we left. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would advise to book ahead if you are visiting the area.

We love The Cheesy Grape and always look forward to going when we’re in Henley. Fabulous range of cheeses, charcuterie and wines to enjoy in a relaxed and comfortable setting. The advice from Rob is superb and well worth following. Becky, Rob and the rest of the team have created a wonderful venue and for us it sets the standard against which all other such places are judged.

Great meal! Simple dishes, first class ingredients, skilfully prepared and beautifully presented. The service was charming and efficient too. And all very reasonably priced. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but to be expected in the middle of the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. An excellent experience all round. I wish we’d discovered this place years ago! We will be back…

We was greeted when we arrived, it was 5pm and we were the only people in there. Food was nice tofu a little dry but overall enjoyable and a relaxed feeling. Staff were polite and friendly. Also realised from there adverts in there they also have a fun looking bingo night.
