Located on Hope Street, a much loved address in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter between the two cathedrals, the doors to our Taproom have welcomed many a local and friend over the past 200 years.Our Dining Room, a relaxed and open space is washed in natural light through the summer months and warmed by the fire on evenings with a chill. Built in the early 17th century, this grade two listed pub is the oldest coaching inn in Frodsham, originally having stabling for 23 horses. The stables can still be seen opposite the rear of the pub, as can the coach house with its large white doors.     Had a wonderful meal and a very special experience at the dog and collar. Food was superb and the staff were gorgeous/ so lovely and kind. It’s a lovely place and a lot of effort has gone in to make it cost and welcoming. I’d highly recommend and will definitely be going again in the near future.

    The service and staff were amazing they looked after us really well. The food was fabulous. We really enjoyed the chicken and Dingle Dell pork chop and the staff recommended a wine to pair. Would not hesitate to recommend for service food and ambience.

    Excellent Sunday Dinner at The Queens Head. Plenty of food, extra roasties / yorkshires and great service. This was our 2nd visit, as the 1st was so good and we weren’t disappointed.

    Lovely spot and great service. I stopped in on a day off after a business trip and as I was alone they placed me in a lovely nook where I could enjoy and people watch.
