The Farmhouse at Redcoats is a beautiful 15th century farmhouse nestled in the north Hertfordshire countryside. Sherwin Jacobs heads the kitchen and delivers quality, fresh, local produce, much of which is grown in the no-dig garden and onsite polytunnel. Feast over fire events, pop-up BBQs and supper club events litter the calendar. The food is award-winning - Best Premium Food, Good Food Guide, Food Made Good Award, 2 star rosette kitchen etc. Private dining is available across several charismatic rooms in the main house - The Old Kitchen, The Victorian Room and The Oak Room. There are 24 rooms available and the Barns venue across the courtyard is regarded as one of the best wedding venues in the country, regularly winning awards. Afternoon teas are available at 24 hour notice.

Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too. The menu is Modern European with a specials menu that changes regularly and plenty of choice on the drinks and cocktail menu.

    Absolutely outstanding meal from start to finish! The food was delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The service was excellent, and the whole experience made for a wonderful visit. Everything was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

    We love this pub for its overall ambience. The service is always good. The food is excellent. Our only slight criticism would be that some of the meals could have been a little warmer but not to the point that we felt we needed to say anything. We will definitely be going again.

    My husband and I went for evening dinner. A very comfortable setting - like eating at a friends. Excellent service and food came quickly. I had the skate and hubby the calf’s liver and pancetta. Both were perfectly cooked. We plan to visit weekly now. Also desserts to die for. This was our 2nd visit in 2 weeks.

    The food at Ember is outstanding. The menu changes all the time. The quality is really good. Sam our waitress was really amazing. Attentive but not intrusive. The music was great - but a little loud. We had a great evening. Would come back again.
