The Crown and Garter is a 17th century coaching inn, situated in Inkpen, near Hungerford, in the heart of the North Wessex Downs. Echt heerlijk gegeten, r werd goed rekening gehouden met wat vooraf was gewenst door ons en bediening was netjes, maar niet heel persoonlijk. Het is ook een grote zaak. Prijs-kwaliteit staat langzaam aan wel wat op spanning.

    The Sunday roast was fantastic - especially the seasonal vegetables; perfectly crispy roast potatoes and amazing yorkie. I was eating alone and often feel a little apprehensive when arriving for a reservation for one… I needn’t have worried as the staff were lovely and very welcoming. All in all, highly recommend and will definitely be back!

    We had a lovely Sunday lunch! The food was delicious, beautifully cooked especially the beef and well presented, with generous portions. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. A really enjoyable experience all round — we’ll definitely be back!
