The Best Cellar Restaurant, established in 1975, has an elaborate history. The previous owners of the restaurant used to sell sandwiches, soups and used and new books. Now, the menu includes seafood and meat dishes. The restaurant also sells wine. At the Best Cellar Restaurant, diners can order wine by glass or opt for champagne or a chardonnay. Diners will also find dessert wine, cabernet and zinfandel on its menu. Diners can start their meal with one of the restaurant's starters such as the oysters Rockefeller, marinated brie and jumbo lump crab cocktail. The Best Cellar Restaurant also offers diners with a wide selection of entrées such as the North Carolina black grouper to poultry dishes like the roasted half duckling or the Sicilian chicken. The restaurant prepares all of its meals using fresh ingredients. You can end your meal with a dessert.

Our farmers define our menu. The local Appalachian produce changes with the season and so does our menu. The menu will change week to week or day to day depending on climate and seasonal growth length. From ramps and morels to soft shell crab and local beef, we strive to provide the absolute freshest in ingredients. We kindly ask that our guests are aged 12 years and older and pets are left at home.Our limited space against the window is our most popular request; we may not be able to fulfill all requests in the evening.
