Le Choupinet is a Parisian brasserie facing the Luxembourg Gardens, at the crossroads of Boulevard Saint-Michel and Place Edmond Rostand. It is run by Benjamin Artis, holder of the Maître Restaurateur title, awarded after an independent audit and guaranteeing home-made cooking from raw produce. The rotisserie, our signature, turns in full view of the dining room with free-range chickens. The menu follows the French repertoire: Burgundy snails, onion soup, black pudding, duck confit, veal blanquette, steak tartare, beef bourguignon. A large sunny terrace, a plant-filled room and contemporary art by Alec Monopoly, Warhol, Invader, KAWS and Basquiat give the place its character, with occasional evening piano jams. Open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., with the menu served from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; table bookings from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. Many vegetarian dishes and gluten-free options. Groups of up to 20 welcome à la carte. Booking recommended at lunchtime.
