Welcome to Abrazo! We are a neighborhood restaurant nestled in the historic and beautiful Russian Hill neighborhood. Chef/Owner Michael Pawliks menu features contemporary Spanish-Californian inspired cuisine, sourcing only the freshest and most traditional ingredients. Abrazo features a lofty 18ft ceiling, a cozy bar, and a private dining room that seats 16. The wine list features the best of Spain's legendary wine regions alongside Napa Valley classics.

The food was really disappointing. We ordered four small plates to share, which we thought would make for a lighter meal, but we couldn't even finish two of them. Everything was just so greasy. The octopus was good, but the house bread was incredibly heavy, the croquetas were bland, and I personally couldn't even bring myself to try the bone marrow because my stomach was already feeling overwhelmed by all the grease. I lived in Spain for 20 years, and this was my first time going to a Spanish restaurant since moving away. I was really looking forward to it, which made the experience even more disappointing. :(

Consistently great Spanish food and wine and friendly service. An SF institution, would go back every week. Trendy and techie discovered this place is not. Wonderful.

This is our 3rd time coming to this restaurant and we’re not disappointed with our meals one iota. The bread is to die for and potato chicken soup was luscious on the tongue to boot. My wife and aunt had the pappardelle pasta and ragout they found to be quite tasty. The wait staff were terrific. The only aspects to the dining experience were the noise level being somewhat high making it hard for all of us, especially my 90+ year old aunt hear any of us even with hearing aids on. Plus accessibility issues remain with a two step down to the restroom for my aunt who is wheelchair bound. A Home Depot solution for a temporary ramp is all they need I think or some alteration in the flooring to accommodate the handicapped. Otherwise don’t advertise accessibility.

I love Abrazo’ gin and tonics, so had to have one of those. We shared small dishes that were just right to eat before going the an 8:30 performance at the Jazz Center. The staff is friendly and they make me feel welcome.

We just moved into the neighborhood. Been here a couple of times now. It’s the most consistently great restaurant in Russian Hill.
