Chef Manrico's passion is inspired by the love for his home region of Pescara, Abruzzo. The flavors, scents and the colors of the neighborhood, ‘Borgo Marino’, is where his inspiration came from. Cooking in the early mornings on the fishing boats, savoring the smell of the land and sea is where it all began. Such a lovely experience! As an Italian living in Vancouver, I can honestly say it’s not easy to find a place where the food tastes just like home. La Forchetta truly made me feel like I was back in Italy! Authentic flavours, delicious food and genuinely lovely service. If you love real Italian food, highly recommended this restaurant!

Service was lackluster. Spaghetti Bolognese was watery and lacked seasoning, had to ask for parmesan and dish did not come with any bread , that they can provide for extra cost! Will not recommend or return.

Fabulous evening with the guys after playing Pickleball. Great drinks, delicious appetizers and scrumptious pizza and pasta. Going back again!

Our favourite go to Italian place. Service was friendly, didn’t rush us and was helpful. The food was tasty, love the homemade noodles and it was cooked perfectly. Only bad not so bad, was that it’s alittle too bright in the front of the restaurant where we were supposed to be seated, o we asked for a different seat which worked out better.

What a great family-owned restaurant. Owners are passionate about service and food and they cook and serve themselves. I am celiac and they went out of their way to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I am from Toronto but travel to Vancouver a few times a year. Would definitely make a point of coming here whenever I am in town.

Bruchetta was good but seemed to be lacking a bit of flavor?.. but lots of cheese though. The risotto was excellent and I actually had a bite which I liked. Veal with Marsala was good but not as good as others I have had. Caprese salad again seemed to lack something so I asked for more basil which helped a bit. The basil was different than what I like so maybe different king of basil would have enhanced the flavor. Service was excellent… house wine ok and you definitely need to eat with it.. not a sipping wine. I miss La Pergola restaurant in Richmond which was the best!!
