La Griglia Houston is a longtime Italian dining destination located in the heart of Houston’s River Oaks and Montrose area, just minutes from Downtown Houston, Buffalo Bayou Park, and West Gray Street. La Griglia has been a beloved part of the city’s dining scene for more than three decades, known for blending Old‑World Italian tradition with refined Houston elegance.
The menu features authentic Italian cuisine made with high‑quality, imported ingredients, including house‑made pastas, fresh seafood, wood‑fired specialties, and seasonal classics inspired by regions like Sicily, Roma, and Tuscany. Guests can dine in the intimate main dining room, gather around the stylish bar, or enjoy cocktails and dinner in the expansive outdoor courtyard, one of the most inviting patios in the area.
Perfect for business lunches, date nights, anniversaries, and special occasions, La Griglia delivers impeccable service, an exceptional wine list, and timeless Italian flavors.

I’ve been eating at LaGriglia for over 30 years and the quality of service last night was unrecognizable. We had to ask for the classic pizza bread & bread basket probably seven times and never received a cocktail until the very end of the meal even ever after asking for multiple times. Our food was delicious, but the level of service regarding the servers was not like it used to be. Very disappointing.

This was my first time to La Griglia since the move to the new location. The place is beautiful and the service was stellar. Since it was lunchtime, we just ordered salads. While delicious, I found it too pricey for two salads and two iced teas ($120 including tax and tip!) Will be back to try it for dinner.

Sat outside on the patio. It was lovely and much quieter than inside!

Great food and atmosphere! Came here for a date night with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the Veal Piccatine with a side of broccolini and my wife had the Rigatoni Straciatella. Both were delicious! The service was also amazing!

Waiter was awesome, we had a waiter in the past for our first anniversary that wasn’t great, but this time this guy was incredible and we’ll be back!
