Food was excellent. I did have some challenges with the service because it was a summer weekend night and they were a little short staffed. But that’s common all over Summit county in the summer.

Good food, but we also went in a very busy time so it was a little bit louder. I just don’t think they had enough wait staff to really help with the rush that they had.

We waited for 45 minutes to get our dinner when the restaurant was half empty. My salmon was so overcooked it was rubbery. The server never refilled our water or asked if we needed anything once we got our food. They looked understaffed. I wish there was another decent dinner place in Copper for a second option.

Pasta sauce watery. Small portions for cost. Children everywhere, just an fyi. Used to be a nice place for dinner.

Hi Lily, Thanks for your feedback, we don't get too many complaints on our portion sizes and judging by the number of guests who leave with to go boxes full of leftovers it isn't usually a problem. And, yes we are a family friendly restaurant!

Disappointing Date Night at Sauce on Copper We had dinner at Sauce on Copper for our Friday Night Date Night last night, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I ordered the chicken Parmesan, which is normally one of my favorite dishes. Unfortunately, it was very thin, mostly breading, and quite dry. The mashed potatoes were also dry and didn’t look particularly appetizing. My husband ordered the fish dish, and it was clearly raw inside. He likes sushi, but not when he orders fish that is supposed to be cooked. We were especially concerned that something like this made it out of the kitchen. The ladies’ restroom was another disappointment. It was very dirty, and it appeared that the floors and trough sink hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Cleanliness is something we expect from any restaurant, especially one we’ve enjoyed in the past. The one bright spot was the wait staff. They were incredibly pleasant, kind, and attentive, and honestly, they were the best part of the experience. They did their best to make our evening enjoyable. What makes this especially disappointing is that earlier in the week we had ordered takeout from Sauce on the Blue, our go-to location. I ordered the chicken Parmesan there, and it was delicious—exactly what we’ve come to love. It’s the only dish my son and I order because it’s just that amazing. Unfortunately, after this experience, I think we’ll be sticking with Sauce on the Blue and won’t be returning to Sauce on Copper. It’s a shame because we really wanted to enjoy our date night and have had such a great experience with the other location.
