Juweeltje in de wijk

The Last Word isn't about a pretentious cocktail with an esoteric dish full of ingredients you've never even heard of. It's about date night, friends night out, or just sitting at the bar and having a good chat with the bartender.

I’ve been dining here for over a year now and always enjoy the fun and innovative food. The menu changes with the seasons but the favorites always remain.

The cocktails are delicious. We come here because the drink menu is unique and fun. They are also great at offering suggestions for which cocktails you will likes based on what you normally like. The service is also top notch. We were in a larger group which sometimes falls by the wayside, but our service did not falter. We will definitely be back!

We have been to The Last Word several times. The last visit was poor service. We had to get uo from our table to find our server to take our food order. Then again ask for our check to leave. Maybe they were short staffed, but if that was the case, the server shoild have told us.

Such a great reception... we'd booked a party of 4 online and when we arrived, there was a cute, mini-chalkboard with our name on it, reserving our table. So nice to not have to jockey for position at the bar or for a table. Cocktails were very good but don't expect mainstream drinks here - there are no typical hard liquors, however the alternatives were excellent. Unfortunately, service was pretty poor. Took forever to get anything. Such a bummer as our waiter was really nice, but clearly had too many tables and/or did not prioritize us at the top of his list. I hate having to ask multiple times for the same things (e.g., water, drinks we ordered 20 minutes ago, etc.) Overall, very good. Maybe it was an "off" night?

I love coming to the Last Word for their cocktails. They have a selection that you do not find at many restaurants. Their food is hit or miss, but has great snacking food.

I got a confirmation from Open Table prior to the event. I confirmed the reservation. I called Last Word about 30min before, and let them know we were on our way for our reservation. They had no record of the reservation and did not have a table reserved for us. Very dissapointing..... we loved coming to this bar, and I was really looking forward to this, it was my birthday.

One of our favorite places to eat and have drinks! We came in tonight with our friends from Chicago and had amazing food and service. We sampled several small plates and shared desserts. Great dining experience!
