The menu brought Le Gavroche’s signature dishes together with L’abeille’s own creations, with thoughtful wine pairings and warm, personal hospitality. The meal unfolded like a great jazz performance, building toward a series of memorable solos. Chef Roux’s Soufflé Suissesse was like eating a cloud: light and airy, yet wonderfully rich without overwhelming. Chef Mitsu’s Mediterranean red mullet with kabocha squash and sauce bordelaise provided a lovely transition to my favorite dish of the evening: Artichaut Lucullus. The artichoke heart filled with truffles and foie gras, accompanied by Madeira truffle sauce, left me briefly speechless. The roast duck supreme with sunflower purée and port jus was another standout, beautifully cooked with crisp skin and tender meat. If pressed to rank them: artichoke first, soufflé second, duck third—but it was a photo finish. Sommelier Steve Kim’s recommendations complemented the menu beautifully. Comparing the artichoke with both the Meursault and Côte-Rôtie was a particular pleasure. Cheese, a delicate pear dessert, and mignardises brought the evening to a satisfying close. One small gesture captured the hospitality: knowing how much I enjoy a madeleine with my Sunday coffee, the staff sent me home with an extra. This Sunday, that madeleine brought the whole evening back. Exceptional cooking, gracious service, and a memory worth savoring.Meer infol'abeille$$$$• Frans• TriBeCa•4,9

My only small thing is for a space that small and while it’s cool to be by the kitchen seeing into how amazing it is, it can get Smokey and fumey in that small space. I noticed they had humidifier fans running but they should probably work on a long term solution. Otherwise great spot.Meer infol’abeille à côté$$$$• Frans• TriBeCa•5
