Excellent as always, we’ve been coming here annually (ish) for some 10 years +. Consistency at its best, the food is outstanding and service genuine and on point. Never miss an opportunity to pop up to Stratford for a meal here and its sister restaurants

Our lunch here was so good we had to book to come back the next day! In fairness we’ve been visiting for over ten years on our trips up and down the country. Always excellent, and always worth a detour!

We received such a lovely warm welcome as soon as we arrived. The menu was full of tempting dishes, making it really difficult to choose! I eventually went for the scallops followed by the sea bass, and both were absolutely delicious. We were also recommended a bottle of Argentinian Malbec that the restaurant was trialling, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. A really lovely evening, with great food, wine and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing Stunning setting , lovely food, brilliant service by all staff members. Polite and very attentive and all staff went above and beyond. The young man who served us our drinks, hats off to him for going up and down the stairs 100 times 😂🥰

We had a table for two on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly quiet but we had drinks in the lounge with canapés while we chose our menu. The restaurant rang earlier in the day to check dietary requirements which was useful as I don’t eat meat. They then modified the taster menu to take out the meat dishes. The food was incredibly good, they were just into their autumn menu and it was all tasty and well thought out. The Smokey trout in particular stood out. Our waitress was fantastic, she was from Spain and was lovely and friendly and extremely knowledgable about wine. We had a super meal and evening, it was a shame it was so quiet but this didn’t detract from our wonderful meal.
