Inspired by the layered cultures of Sri Lanka and England, Colombo House, formerly known as Colombo 16, presents a modern table of Sri Lanka at Marine Court — the Grade II–listed Art Deco landmark overlooking St Leonards-on-Sea.By night, the menu focuses on contemporary dinners, with curries, short eats, and desserts designed for sharing. On Sundays, Colombo House opens for brunch and lunch, offering relaxed sharing platters alongside Sri Lankan favourites.Our cooking is rooted in family recipes, reimagined through a modern, ingredient-led approach — sourcing locally while importing key produce weekly from Sri Lanka. The drinks list champions locally sourced coffee, tea, soft drinks, craft beers, ciders, and artisanal spirits. Our wine list has been carefully curated to complement the bold, nuanced flavours of the food, in collaboration with local wine merchants Artis Vin, Ridge & Bard of Hastings.
The Poet offers an informal yet refined dining experience in the heart of Kent. Mentioned in both the Good Food Guide and Harden's, and set in a charismatic 16th century building, diners can expect food of the highest standards, made using the finest local and seasonal produce, lovingly prepared by a small team of chefs led by Head Chef & Director Lee Adams. In addition to the food, we offer a meticulously curated wine list and innovative cocktails.World War I poet Siegfried Sassoon lived in Matfield and is the inspiration behind the name. Sassoon was awarded the Military Cross, and later won acclaim for his writing. Thai Marina is situated at The Waterfront at Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne and serves modern Thai cuisine in a traditional setting. The menu has all the classics you'd except such as Green Curry or Pad Thai as well as newer dishes such as Lamb Cutlets or Tamarind Sea Bass. In the summer months, enjoy alfresco dining all day and through the evening and on the weekends enjoy the Thai summer barbecue by the waterside.
Pho Royal Tunbridge Wells is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options.
We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family.
Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK.
Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too.

Believed to date back to the 17th century the Horse & Groom was originally used to house local farmer workers, with the increase in horse drawn traffic using the old Hastings Road the property was utilised to offer weary travellers a place to rest and stable their horse ready for their onward journey. It then, and has to this date, become known as the Horse and Groom . Free of tie, the pub now offers the traditional country pub fair, set in the glorious surroundings of Rushlake Green, with its picturesque village properties encircling the village green, centre of the villages attraction and host to many winter and summer events. The pub with it’s large private gardens offers a friendly and secure environment for families to enjoy beautiful views over the adjoining rolling Sussex countryside.
