The name “Ichoume” comes from the address of this street. Ichoume is located on ‘1’ Harbour Street, Darling Quarter. That’s why we named the restaurant “Ichoume” (Choume is used for addresses in Japan. It's a way of breaking a municipality into districts. 丁目(Choume) is ‘city district’, so ‘1 choume’(Ichoume) is ‘1st [city] district’).The design concept of the restaurant is a hangout for adults.The menu is supervised by AKIKO ISHIKAWA, who has accumulated her career in many restaurants. The head chef is TOMOHIKO KIMURA . He specialises in Japanese - based cuisine with French techniques and flavours. Located in the heart of Sydney's CBD, Palazzo Salato is an ode to the great trattorias of Rome. Spread over the heritage-listed building’s walk-in bar, dining room and hidden private dining room, there's a lively space to suit every occasion, big and small.To eat, Palazzo Salato's menu of snacks, hand-rolled pasta and sustainably sourced proteins from some of Australia’s best farmers, is devised by Executive Chef Alex Major and Head Chef Matthew Goddard. While seasonally led, a few classics remain on the menu always, including the Palazzo ham with colatura hot sauce and focaccia; stracciatella with anchovies; mafaldine with spanner crab, sea blight, uni butter and chilli; and the agnolotti dal plin to name a few. To drink, an 600-strong wine list focusing on low intervention Italian, Australian and French wines.

    Solid hidden gem in Pyrmont! Only a short walk from the city. The place has a great Japanese bistro vibe. We ordered mostly the Kushikatsu skewers—highly recommend the Quail Egg, Wagyu Sukiyaki Egg, and Pork Belly Mapo. The KFC and Mini Wagyu Katsu Curry were also on point. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Will definitely be back!

    The restaurant was difficult to find, but the staff were very understanding and helpful when we were late to our booking. Otherwise, we had an amazing experience, food was outstanding and the value is unmatched. The staff are lovely and really make you feel welcomed. The atmosphere is clean, quiet and tranquil. I would recommend this place to all.
