Saffron is a unique experience, as it's co-located in the 1939-vintage Royal Diner. Saffron gets (presumably) cheap rent, while the Royal makes extra income because it's only open for breakfast and lunch. That means you're eating Middle Eastern food in a very old school American setting - it's quirky, but it works. When we arrived at 7:15pm, they were digging out of a very full early dinner service, so service was a little slow to start, but picked up speed as they caught up. Our server was on top of everything and friendly. The food was genuinely exceptional - everything we had was both cooked and presented beautifully. I had wanted to order the beef kebab, but the early service had cleaned them out. I "settled" for the chicken kebab, and that's in quotes because in no way shape or form did it end up being a second place meal. It was outstanding - easily the best chicken kebab I have ever had. Highly recommended!

The ramen was delicious, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was just as impressive—warm, inviting, and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy a meal and unwind. Everything came together for a wonderful dining experience. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and would happily visit again!
