Populairste comfort foodrestaurants in Cape Neddick

We made a reservation for 6 PM on a Monday for our anniversary. When we arrived we were surprised at how busy it was. We were promptly greeted by a hostess and had a table for 2 in the corner. Loved the fresh linens, flowers and real candle! Amanda our server was outstanding. Glasses of water were kept full, our wine bottle expertly opened and poured, and our starter and bread quickly delivered. The bread is amazing served with oil, cheese and crushed peppers. We heard many enticing specials but went with haddock with risotto and salmon with gnocchi. Both were plentiful, served hot and were delicious. We eyed the dessert menu but frankly had no room left. To our surprise 2 complimentary cannoli were provided for our anniversary. Overall it was an exceptional dining experience that exceeded expectations. We will be back!

We ate in the Tavern which has amazing New England colonial ambience. It was quite noisy as there were several large parties (nearby UNH parents weekend was underway, suspect that was part of the equation). If you want quiet, I recommend asking for upstairs seating in the dining room. Cocktail was delish, food was fantastic. I had the Jefferson chicken, my companion had the hanger steak. Service was friendly and prompt. A great experience.

Really enjoyed our meal at the Puddle Dock in Portsmouth. Food, drinks and service were all excellent. We especially enjoyed the chowder, and trout dishes. Special mention for the cinnamon rum bread pudding - may be the best we've ever had. Would love to come back next time we're in the area.

First time trying. Found on Open Table and took wife for Birthday. Nothing special to look out, sort of out of way but no complaints. Plenty of parking, food was decent and prices were respectable. Would recommend for a casual meal but if you're looking for ambiance not so much. Again We'd return!
