The Lunch Lady Vancouver is the first chapter in carrying forward the remarkable legacy of the late Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh—known worldwide as “The Lunch Lady” after her unforgettable appearance on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. Her food, humble in origin yet bold in flavour, moved Bourdain and captured hearts across the globe.In 2020, we partnered with Ms. Thanh to bring her dream to life on Commercial Drive in Vancouver’s Little Italy—the first home of her legacy outside Saigon.
