The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the food was amazing. Best beef lasagna I have ever eaten. They even offered my friend a glass of Prosecco on the house as it was her birthday, which was completely unexpected but so lovely. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be going back.

Overall, this restaurant is fantastic value on all levels. We ate here at both lunchtime and the evening. On both occasions the food was excellent value - the best quality with generous portions. At lunchtime the atmosphere was 'lively' as one would expect for a rainy day - filled to capacity with lots of kids about. By the evening the venue had been transformed, with softer lighting etc. The food and service were just as good. The only downside was a family on the table next to us who let their young kids run riot by not paying any attention to them at all for quite a time. This resulted in them running around shouting, and kicking a metal pot (that had somehow ended up on the floor) across the room. Given that one of the kids was only about two - I shudder to think what the result would have been if it had been a glass.

We had a really nice meal. Friendly atmosphere, our waitress was lovely and the food was to a high standard.

Very impressed with the venue plus food, selection of beers and service. I don't have anything negative to say. I would certainly visit again if we come down to this area in the future.

We love going to the Star and Eagle. The food is absolutely delicious and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We will be back many a times!
